You won't waste your time finding a friend in this tournament. You'll find people waiting to play with you from all over the world, no matter where they are. Razz Poker was an American favorite in its day. And by that I mean they're there from all over – all of Europe. As a result, I never felt the need to enter any of the four tables – as someone who regularly plays around the world, I never felt the need to see the actual World Series of Poker, but I still loved the excitement (and in some cases, the risk) of trying to beat other poker pros in a tournament that I can't even afford to watch every year.

The World Series of poker has seen a great deal of growth all across the globe and is a good example of the growth in the poker industry.

It's certainly no fun to watch for the casual player, but playing World Series of Poker at home feels like playing a regular, high-stakes round of poker, and there might be no simpler, more thrilling way to experience that feeling. As mentioned earlier, the World Series of Poker does suffer from some glaring technical issues, even as it performs well. Texas Holdem Poker is strictly off-line from a bankroll of more than $100,000! While I don't necessarily have any complaints with the actual gameplay in the World Series of Poker, it certainly wouldn't have been able to live up to its expectations if its presentation were worse. And if you're more into the competitive aspect of poker, the graphics are much better for the time of its release as the game was only released in the United Kingdom.

In retrospect, there really isn't something wrong with the game, or its design for that matter. Itsimply that World Series of Poker is not designed to be used in tournaments. Las Vegas Poker venues have to comply with more strict regulations, such as background checks and minimum balance requirements. If youreally passionate about it, you might consider switching it up with the official PS2 and Xbox 360 versions of the game at a later date, but I donthink that's even something that the real WSOP could be expected to offer.

But then again, there is always the option of switching over to a free (but rather crappy) version of the game from an affiliate program like CardMate that would actually be worth exploring. Even if you opt not to play the World Series of Poker, there will be still be a lot of interesting and unique tournament options to discover in this new installment of this popular online poker series.
