As US online poker markets expanded so did the players that became regulars. By the end of 2010 we saw the largest number of poker players in the history of the game. Even if we don't see this massive growth of players in the next decade we can at least be assured that there's plenty of room for more players to join in the fun!

This will be a very brief overview of what has happened in the US online poker scene in the last 10 years. The online poker industry was starting to be very stable. In early 2015 a new poker room with new players launched in the US.

That same year online poker in the US started to be disrupted and new players started to enter. So the market seemed to be stabilizing again for some time but then in March of 2015 the poker scene exploded again. In early 2015 we had a new group of players and old players come together to form a new group called American Poker Network. The APN was the first new poker room to come out of A-Poker and it became a dominant player in the online poker scene with many of the top players and the new guys who decided to start playing poker online.

After the initial success of the American Poker Network we see another big boom in the online poker space in 2016. As the online poker market gets more stable this period of time should see a smaller and smaller rise in online poker sitesand more sites closing their doors or consolidating their operations.
