The Borgata Summer Poker Open is a new Poker Championship Series (PCS) tournament that takes place from August 10 – 13, 2018 at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City. We don't have much to go on that we haven't covered in previous Borgata Summer Poker Open articles. NJ Online Poker Sites that enter American markets must maintain a identities and documentation. At the first Borgata Summer Poker Open, in 2015, the tournament was not held at The Borgata, but was a four-team all tournament.

The tournament started off with six teams and continued with seven teams in the top 16 as well as 8 teams in the second round. There have not yet been any announced rules changes that will require players to be in tournament play at the end of the event. We've already had several events, at the Borgata and on behalf of other players and tournament hosts before, in which our Tournament Directors have had a hard time with a player that was not, in fact, a first-timer. As with the last event, the tournament will be held on the first Tuesday in August at the Borgata, and features seven starting players. As the Borgata has had a "first-timer only" policy for the last seven consecutive Summer Poker Open, the first-time players for this tournament will need to be in tournament play or have a recent PCS win to attend and try to move on. The top sixteen teams from the PCS Final will play for a top $2,500 bonus as part of a combined $3,000 win pot. There will be a pool of $1,000. We're told that the winning team will also receive a $50,000 prize as part of the PCS Championship. The 2016 Summer Poker Open Final prize ($5,000) was split between the winners of those events as well. The 2018 Borgata Summer Poker Open will take place on the first Tuesday of August at 10:00 AM ET for players with a valid PCS member card.

There are two PCS events scheduled on Wednesday, August 11 and August 13, and each is going to offer a $200,000 pot. There is a total of eight spots on the main event at 8 teams each as well as an additional six spots as a playoff is also possible.
