Wizard's Pinball

On December 2, 1973, the band “Pinball Wizard” went on tour at the Uptown Theater in Chicago. They took over four buildings of the Uptown Amphitheater, The Uptown Theatre, The O'Hare & State & Washington Park, The O'Hare & State, and The State & Capitol Park – with about 8-10 hundred fans. The band “Pinball Wizard” was pretty successful at "Futile Devices". Oz.online is one of the most popular children's books in the world. The song was the top single to appear on the US Billboard charts for the week ending December 2, and it was #1 all week.

For the next week, the album “Pinball Wizard” took over 20 spots on the Billboard singles chart. Pinball Wizard” went ontop it for the next week, November 8-15. I haven't heard this record listed on the radio yet, so I'll post the actual album cover on this page, but the cover of the singles is identical to the cover of the albums: no special edits! The band later returned and played over 20 hours of the songs on the record between 1973 and 1979, and it was the number one single for that album. Kamen Rider Wizard's name, however, is not. On May 1, 1974, Pinball Wizard” opened on the Warner Bros.

It drew 1,000 people from 1,400 square feet of seats. Pinball Wizard” was certified gold by the RIAA. Also, note “Pinball Wizard” was the only song on its record which was replayed a dozen times.

One of those many great old-school Rolling Stones songs was even played during the opening of “Pinball Wizard” – the song was written by John Lennon and Paul Stanley and was performed by a couple dozen other musicians during the event. In fact, it is probably the only song on any of The Clashsongs which has been performed multiple times in concert. The band “Pinball Wizard” was also responsible for playing two hours of acoustic guitar live the night before. They were recorded inside a warehouse at The New York Public Library, which is the largest and best concert auditorium in the United States.
