On November 8, 2016, Square Enix took over the license of the Final Fantasy XIV franchise from Square Enix China, and issued a statement saying, We are excited to announce that in July 2018, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will join the worldwide service for the PlayStation®4 system. Also, the company announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is available to download in North America, Europe, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, Square Enix unveiled a new gameplay trailer for the game. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward was announced at E3 2010, and it was released in North America on November 11, 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems. The Sky Whale 2.3.1 release for the iOS devices has a big change of game mechanics and enemies than the previous version. Heavensward was later released in Japan on December 18, 2010.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn originally started as a Kickstarter project, and it came to be a very successful project, having raised over 1.17 million USD.

It had over 15 million copies shipped, and sold over 1. 5 million copies in the first 48 hours, making it the best selling game ever. Ghost Rider isn't just a film, it is a video game that changes the way the video game industry works. It was a free to play title, and it later became a paid game with in-game credits at all times. At the Tokyo Game Show 2005, it was revealed that the game would return to Asia, but the title was never named. Square Enix acquired the license to the Final Fantasy XIV brand and developed a series of Final Fantasy XIII-2 remakes titled Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn: Heavensward.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward was released on October 25, 2017

The remake of A Realm Reborn was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 24, 2013 and was followed by the follow-up called Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward on October 4, 2013. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward has now shipped over 10 million units, making it the best selling game of its generation so far. In late July 2015, Square Enix and Blizzard revealed that they are partnering to create a new MMORPG called Battle. net. Aztec Warrior Princess is a fast-paced slot play game in which you decide how many players to play. The title is currently in development.

Summary:

It remains to be seen whether this will lead to an easier time getting into the game, or whether an even higher player-concurrency ratio will get people to sign up, but it's a valid concern for a game whose first beta is now over and on its second. The patch notes for Heavensward and the patch notes for FFXIV: A Realm Reborn will be published next week. This was a fantastic launch for both FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward and FFXIV: A Realm Reborn.

As I said in the initial announcement, the fact that the game has a Steam release date does give me hope that Square Enix has some extra time, and I sincerely thank them for keeping us updated!
When Square Enix announced on January 25, 2012 that Final Fantasy XIV Online would be an international MMORPG, they didn't use the official name in their description since they wanted players to experience the difference from an offline experience to an online one. The company's intention was rather to use Final Fantasy XIV Online's unique game play style, in a way similar to World of Final Fantasy, and to take advantage of online services such as Facebook and Twitter to provide local multiplayer in China (to which Square Enix had been reluctant to offer local support due to their limited number of players). Square Enix's intention with Final Fantasy XIV Online's launch came from the fact that Final Fantasy XIV would not only be their first MMO since the first World of Final Fantasy, but also be their first online game in Asia: China was a long time ago compared to Japan, and so Square Enix hoped that the game would serve as a stepping stone to an online experience in the future. It was made possible by the "A Realm Reborn: Symphony of the Sun" soundtrack, along with the release of a Japanese version on June 3, 2014 and the release of the "Hail on the King" music video released January 29, 2015.
